The ancient Wudang Mountain scenic spot is located in the junction of Shanxi, Hebei, Shandong and Henan provinces, 70 kilometers northwest of Handan City, in the living water town of Wu'an city. With a total area of more than 20 square kilometers, the scenic spot is commonly known as "Laoye Mountain" by local people. In 2005, it was rated as "National Forest Park" and "National Geological Park". The landform of the whole scenic spot is complex and peculiar, which is formed by red quartz sandstone. After Yanshan movement and Himalayan movement, Taihang Mountain is further uplifted. After many years of weathering and denudation, the landform landscape and pictographic mountain of red cliff are formed. For example: taijizhang, teapot mountain, Lu Xufeng and other landscapes. A Tang Dynasty monument on the top of the mountain records that this is the ancient Wudang Mountain, which is considered by experts to be the famous North Wudang Mountain sought by the domestic Taoist circles. Its history is earlier than other Wudang Mountains.
